SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATION, War Memorial Park Pavers
Body
WHEREAS,the City has joined with Gahanna Veteran of Foreign Wars, Post No. 4719, in the establishment of a WAR MEMORIAL PARK; and
WHEREAS, donations of labor and materials have been committed by Mifflin Township, local developers, local businesses, and The Gahanna Fund; and
WHEREAS, the sale of engraved bricks has reached a number warranting the beginning of construction;and
WHEREAS, a section of the bricks must be laid before being purchased for individual engraving;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO;
Section 1. That the amount of FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($5,000) is hereby supplementally appropriated from the unencumbered, unappropriated balance of the General Fund to Account No. 101.431.5515, Capital Projects, Parks and Recreation,for the purpose of purchasing 10,000 brick pavers, and the Parks and Recreation Department is hereby authorized and requested to proceed with said purchase at the earliest possible date.
Section 2. That Ordinance No. 1-98, passed January 2, 1998 is hereby amended to reflect this supplemental appropriation.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect immediately upon passage by this Council and approval by the Mayor.
