TO ESTABLISH THE RATES OF PAY AND BENEFITS FOR SUPERVISORY PERSONNEL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA FOR THE PERIOD JANUARY 1, 2016 THROUGH DECEMBER 31, 2016; TO REPEAL ORD-0183-2014; AND TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY.

 

Body

 

WHEREAS, ORD-0183-2014, passed December 15, 2014 provided the salary and benefit package for the supervisory personnel of the City of Gahanna through December 31, 2015; and

 

WHEREAS, it is deemed appropriate by this Council for employee morale and continuity of City business to proceed with new legislation for salary and benefit provisions to be effective January 1, 2016 all for the preservation of the public peace, property, health, safety, and welfare.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO:

 

Section 1.  That where not in conflict with the Charter, Ordinances, or lawfully promulgated rules and regulations of the City of Gahanna, the Master Salary Ordinance for full-time supervisory personnel of the City of Gahanna, is hereby enacted as noted in EXHIBIT A attached hereto.

 

Section 2.  That the pay and benefits of this ordinance shall be effective January 1, 2016, except as otherwise noted.

 

Section 3.  That ORD-0183-2014, as amended, or any Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.

 

Section 4.  That, for the reasons set forth in the preamble herein above, this Ordinance is declared emergency legislation and shall be in full force and effect upon passage by this Council and on date of signature approval by the Mayor.
