TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT WITH EH HERRICK ENGINEERING, LTD., FOR INSPECTION AND INVENTORY OF BRIDGES AND CULVERTS IN THE CITY OF GAHANNA.

WHEREAS, the City is required to inspect and inventory all bridges and culverts on an annual basis; and
WHEREAS, the City has never done a complete inventory and inspection and needs to comply with these requirements;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into Contract with EH HERRICK ENGINEERING, LTD., 6012 Linworth Road, Worthington, Ohio 43085, for inspection and inventory of all bridges and culverts within the City; in accordance with City specifications, and as stated in EXHIBIT A attached hereto.
Section 2. That funding in the amount of EIGHT THOUSAND DOLLARS ($8,000) was set aside in the 2006 Appropriations in Account No. 101.145.5445, Engineer Assistance, to cover the herein costs.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and 30 days after date of signature approval by the Mayor.
