WHEREAS, the vehicle lift used by fleet maintenance is 34 years old and has been severely stressed over the years; and
WHEREAS, this unit is used almost daily in fleet operations and not having this lift available would be detrimental to the productivity and safety of our personnel; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Public Service has recommended that this vehicle lift be replaced; and
WHEREAS, additional funds are needed to complete this purchase of the vehicle lift;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That funding in the amount of FOUR THOUSAND EIGHT HUNDRED SEVENTY THREE DOLLARS ($4,873) is hereby supplementally appropriated from the unencumbered, unappropriated balance of the General Fund to Account No. 101.512.5512, Fleet, Capital Equipment.
Section 2. That ORD-0001-2012, passed January 2, 2012, is hereby amended to reflect these supplemental appropriations.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect immediately upon passage by this Council and on date of signature approval by the Mayor.
