TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO PURCHASE AGREEMENT WITH CHARLIE'S DODGE, INC., FOR A JEEP LIBERTY SPORT UTILITY VEHICLE FOR THE ZONING DIVISION; TO BE PURCHASED OFF THE STATE CONTRACT INDEX #GDC093.

WHEREAS, the vehicle that the Zoning Division uses is 13 years old and ranks .999 on the vehicle rating sheet and must be replaced; and
WHEREAS, many times the Zoning Division must pick up and transport illegally posted signs and the extra room in a sport utility vehicle would be helpful, and this vehicle is available off the State Contract; and
WHEREAS, quote has been received from Charlies's Dodge, Inc., for a Jeep Liberty Sport Utility Vehicle and the Director of Public Service has recommended we proceed with them for the purchase;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into Purchase Agreement with CHARLIE'S DODGE, INC., 725 Illinois Ave., Maumee, Ohio 43537, for Jeep Liberty Sport Utility Vehicle off the State Contract, Index #GDC093; quote attached as EXHIBIT A, and made a part herein.
Section 2. That funding in the amount of SEVENTEEN THOUSAND SIX HUNDRED SEVENTY THREE DOLLARS is available in Account No. 101.512.5515, General Fund Vehicle Equipment Program, to cover the herein cost.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and 30 days after date of signature approval by the Mayor.
