TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO CHANGE ORDER AGREEMENT WITH PIZZUTI FOR AN EASTGATE SANITARY CONNECTOR SEWER; IMPROVEMENT NO. 737; TO SUPPLEMENTALLY APPROPRIATE $110,146; AND TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY

WHEREAS, Pizzuti was awarded the contract for the Construction and Design Engineering Services for the Eastgate Industrial Center and an additional sanitary connector is needed for the Eastgate Industrial Sanitary Sewer and the City Engineer has recommended that we accept proposal from Pizzuti for the change order; and
WHEREAS, it is imperative to move forward with this at the earliest date possible, all for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety and welfare;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into Change Order Agreement with PIZZUTI, 250 East Broad Street, Columbus Ohio 43215, for Sanitary Connector; Eastgate Industrial Sanitary Sewer, Improvement No. 737, with originating Ordinance 990162 herein referenced as EXHIBIT A, with all work under this Change Order Agreement to continue to be in accordance with City specifications.
Section 2. That the amount of ONE HUNDRED TEN THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED FORTY SIX DOLLARS ($110,146) is hereby supplementally appropriated from the unencumbered, unappropriated balance in the General Fund to Account No. 101.348.5821, Capital Projects Development TIF, to cover the herein costs.
Section 3. That ORD-0001-2000, passed January 3, 2000, is hereby amended to reflect this supplemental appropriation.
Section 4. That, for the reasons set forth in the preamble herein above, this ordinance is declared emergency legislation and shall be in full force and effect immediately upon passage by this Council and approval by the Mayor.
