TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT WITH STILSON CONSULTING GROUP FOR INSPECTION SERVICES FOR THE 2002 STREET REPAIR PROGRAM, IMPROVEMENT NO. 807; AND TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY.

WHEREAS, bids were opened for the 2002 Street Repair Program on April 12, 2002, pursuant to Council authorization, and Council is proceeding with the awarding of the contract; and
WHEREAS, inspection services are needed in conjunction with the awarding of the contract; and
WHEREAS, it is imperative to move forward with this project all for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety and welfare;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into contract with STILSON CONSULTING GROUP, 7610 Olentangy River Road, Columbus Ohio 43225, for inspection services for the 2002 Street Repair Program, Improvement No. 807, in accordance with City specifications.
Section 2. That funding in the amount of THIRTY THREE THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($33,500) was appropriated in the 2002 Appropriations to Account No. 101.145.5541, Capital Projects, Streets, to cover the herein costs.
Section 3. That for the reasons set forth in the preamble herein above this ordinance is declared emergency legislation and shall be in full force and effect immediately upon passage by this Council and on date of signature approval by the Mayor.
