TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT WITH LORENZ EQUIPMENT COMPANY FOR PURCHASE OF A GENERATOR FOR THE WATER TOWER; AND TO SUPPLEMENTALLY APPROPRIATE $841.

WHEREAS, letterhead quotes were accepted for purchase of a generator for the water tower, and the Director of Public Service has recommended that we proceed with the lowest and best quote;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into contract with LORENZ EQUIPMENT COMPANY, 547 West Rich Street, Columbus, Ohio 43216, for purchase of a generator for the water tower, in accordance with City specifications.
Section 2. That funding in the amount of EIGHT THOUSAND DOLLARS ($8,000) was set aside in the 2002 Appropriations to Account No. 652.351.5596, Misc. Water Improvements, to cover the herein costs.
Section 3. That funding in the amount of EIGHT HUNDRED FORTY ONE DOLLARS ($841) is hereby supplementally appropriated from the unencumbered, unappropriated balance of the General Fund to Account No. 652.351.5596, Misc. Water Improvements, to cover the herein costs.
Section 4. That ORD-0001-2002, passed January 2, 2002, is hereby amended to reflect this supplemental appropriation.
Section 5. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and 30 days after signature approval by the Mayor.
