TO HONOR AND COMMEND ERIN ROESKY AND KELLEY PARKER ON ACHIEVEMENT OF THE GIRL SCOUT GOLD AWARD

WHEREAS, ERIN ROESKY and KELLEY PARKER, are members of Troop 1769 in the Rocky Fork Service Unit, in the Senior Scout program of the Girl Scouts; and
WHEREAS, as a joint service project ERIN ROESKY and KELLEY PARKER produced a handbook for Girl Scouts traveling on wider opportunities with emphasis on travel abroad; and
WHEREAS, this idea began during their preparations to travel abroad in 1996; and
WHEREAS, the handbook includes information on do's and don'ts for packing, health requirements, passports, safety, customs in countries where Girl Scout centers are located, fund raising helps, how to choose a place to stay and much more; and
WHEREAS, The Seal of Ohio Scout office is delighted to have this resource for Girl Scouts and Leaders; and
WHEREAS, ERIN ROESKY and KELLEY PARKER, each serve as an exemplary standard for the youth of our community:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That this Council and Administration on behalf of the citizens of Gahanna, honor and commend ERIN ROESKY and KELLEY PARKER for their attainment of the Gold Award for Girl Scouts.
Section 2. That ERIN ROESKY and KELLEY PARKER are given our heartfelt thanks for being good citizens and are wished great success in their future endeavors.
Section 3. That this resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately upon passage by his Council.
