AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING A SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATION- Intersection Improvements, Emergency Repairs; WAIVE SECOND READING.

BODY

 

WHEREAS, emergency repairs on traffic signal pole foundations are necessary in the area of Granville Street and Flint Ridge, Granville Street and Lincoln Circle, and Granville Street and Mill Street; and

 

WHEREAS, a supplemental is being requested in order to pay for the costs associated with the emergency repairs; and

 

WHEREAS, it is imperative to proceed with this Ordinance for the preservation of the public peace, property, health, safety and welfare.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO:

 

Section 1. That the amount of ONE HUNDRED SEVENTY-FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($175,000.00) be and is hereby supplementally appropriated from the unappropriated, unencumbered balance of the Capital Maintenance Fund to account 325.06.550.5510.

 

Section 2.  The second reading is hereby waived.

 

Section 3.  That ORD-098-2020, passed December 21, 2020, is hereby amended to reflect this appropriation.

 

Section 4. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and on date of signature approval by the Mayor.
