TO HONOR KAREN ROBINSON
Body
WHEREAS, Karen Robinson was first appointed to the Parks & Recreation Commission in January, 1993 and has served six years as a dedicated, reliable and well informed member of the Commission, now the Parks and Recreation Board; and
WHEREAS, Karen Robinson served as Chairperson of the Parks and Recreation Commission in 1997 and during that period was actively involved in researching the needs and possibilities of a Community Center for the residents of the City; and
WHEREAS, during her tenure Karen Robinson has been a strong advocate of neighborhood parks and their availability to all children; and
WHEREAS, Karen Robinson was a leader in her own neighborhood in her support and assistance with the development and care of Trapp Park where it has been a common site to see her leading the local residents as they weed and water, plant and prune the landscape beds at the Park; and
WHEREAS, Karen Robinson's endeavors will affect the leisure activities of Gahanna residents for many years to come;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That this Council and Administration, on behalf of the citizens of Gahanna, do hereby honor and commend Karen Robinson for her dedicated service as a member of the Parks & Recreation Board to the citizens of Gahanna.
Section 2. That this resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately upon passage by this Council and approval by the Mayor.
