TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO PURCHASE AGREEMENT WITH MIKE BASS FORD, FOR PURCHASE OF A FORD F-350 DUMP TRUCK, FROM THE STATE CONTRACT, INDEX GDC093E, ITEM 33B.

WHEREAS, the City is in need of a pickup truck to replace vehicle #597, for a water/sewer truck with snow plow and salt spreader; and
WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the Director of Public Service to proceed to purchase this vehicle from Mike Bass Ford; and
WHEREAS, the truck can be purchased off the State Contract, Index GDC093E, Item 33B;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into purchase agreement with MIKE BASS FORD, 5050 Detroit Road, Sheffield Village, Ohio 44035, for the purchase of a Ford F-350 Dump Truck, with snow plow and salt spreader off the State Contract, Index GDC093E, Item 33B; quote attached as EXHIBIT A.
Section 2. That funding in the amount of EIGHT THOUSAND NINE HUNDRED NINETY ONE DOLLARS ($8,991) was set aside in the 2012 Appropriations to Account No. 220.330.5510, Streets, Minor Capital, to cover the cost of the snow plow and the salt spreader.
Section 3. That funding in the amount of THIRTY TWO THOUSAND THIRTY NINE DOLLARS ($32,039) was appropriated and encumbered in the 2011 Appropriations to Account No. 651.350.5512, Water, Capital Equipment, to cover the herein costs.
Section 4. That funding in the amount of THIRTY TWO THOUSAND FORTY DOLLARS ($32,040) was appropriated and encumbered in the 2011 Appropriations to Account No. 661.360.5512, Sewer, Capital Equipment, to further cover the herein costs.
Section 5. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and 30 days after date of signature approval by the Mayor.
