TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER CONTRACT WITH LOEB ELECTRIC, FOR THE PURCHASE OF LIGHT POLES AND FIXTURES FOR THE HANNAH FARMS PARK PROJECT; AND TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY.

WHEREAS, to stay on schedule for the completion of Hannah Farms Park before the Parade of Homes, the Parks & Recreation Department needs to immediately purchase light poles and fixtures for the park; and
WHEREAS, it is imperative to proceed with this legislation immediately, and all for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety and welfare;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into Contract with LOEB ELECTRIC, 915 Williams Avenue, Columbus, Ohio 43212 for purchase of light poles and fixtures for the Hannah Farms Park project; contract attached as EXHIBIT A, and made a part herein.
Section 2. That funding in the amount of TWENTY FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($25,000) was set aside from Bond Proceeds approved by ORD-0095-2007, to Account No. 101.431.5596, Parks Capital Projects/Improvements, to cover the herein costs.
Section 3. That, for the reasons set forth in the preamble herein above, this ordinance is declared emergency legislation and shall be in full force and effect immediately upon passage by this Council and on date of signature approval by the Mayor.
