TO AUTHORIZE THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC SERVICE TO AWARD AND THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT WITH JESS HOWARD ELECTRIC FOR PURCHASE OF A GENERATOR FOR CITY HALL.

WHEREAS, bids were opened on March 27, 2006, for a generator for City Hall; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Public Service has recommended that we proceed with the lowest, most responsive and responsible, bidder;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Director of Public Service is hereby authorized to award and the Mayor is authorized to enter into Contract with JESS HOWARD ELECTRIC, 6630 Taylor Road, Blacklick, Ohio 43004, for purchase of a generator for City Hall, in accordance with bid and City specifications; bid tabs attached as EXHIBIT A.
Section 2. That funding in the amount of NINETY THREE THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED NINETY FIVE DOLLARS ($93,495) was set aside in the 2006 Appropriations to Account No. 101.141.5511, Lands & Buildings, Capital, to cover the herein costs.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and 30 days after date of signature approval by the Mayor.
