WHEREAS, Part-time Police Officers are being used as bailiffs for Mayor's Court and working on special projects such as the Morrison/Hamilton/Rocky Fork South Intersection, and in other areas, and funding is almost completely exhausted for 2000;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:

Section 1.  That the amount of FIFTY NINE THOUSAND THIRTY FIVE DOLLARS ($59,035) is hereby supplementally appropriated from the unencumbered, unappropriated balance of the General Fund to the following Account Nos.:

$50,000          101.211.5125, PT Officers

   6,800           101.211.5131, Police P.E.R.S.

   1,510           101.211.5132, Police Workers Comp.

      725           101.211.5138, Medicare.

$59,035

Section 2.  That ORD-0001-2000, passed January 3, 2000, is hereby amended to reflect the herein supplemental appropriation.

Section 3.  That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect immediately upon passage by this Council and approval by the Mayor.
