TITLE
A RESOLUTION REAFFIRMING THE CITY OF GAHANNA’S REPRESENTATIVE AND ALTERNATE TO THE REGIONAL INCOME TAX AGENCY (RITA) REGIONAL COUNCIL OF GOVERNMENTS (RCOG)
BODY
WHEREAS, the City of Gahanna is a member of the Regional Income Tax Agency (RITA) and participates in the Regional Council of Governments (RCOG) in accordance with the Agreement for Participation; and
WHEREAS, the Agreement for Participation requires that each municipal corporation party to the agreement have one (1) representative to the Council of Governments, appointed by the Chief Executive with the approval of City Council; and
WHEREAS, the Agreement further requires that each municipal corporation designate an alternate who may act in place of the representative in their absence; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor has recommended the following appointments to the RCOG:
Joann Bury, Finance Director, as the continuing primary delegate; and
Crystal Jolley as the new alternate delegate, replacing Chris Wright, who retired at the end of 2024; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds these appointments to be in the best interest of the City and consistent with the requirements of the RITA Agreement for Participation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That this Council hereby reaffirms the appointment of Joann Bury, Finance Director, as the City’s primary representative to the Regional Income Tax Agency (RITA) Regional Council of Governments (RCOG).
Section 2. That this Council hereby approves the appointment of Crystal Jolley as the alternate representative to the Regional Income Tax Agency (RITA) Regional Council of Governments (RCOG), replacing Chris Wright.
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect and be in force from and after the earliest period allowed by law.
