TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO PURCHASE AGREEMENT WITH BUCKEYE POWER SALES, FOR A CHIPPER, FOR THE STREETS DEPARTMENT.

WHEREAS, a new chipper is needed for the Streets Department; and

WHEREAS, the City can access the City of Columbus Bid list for the purchase;

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:

Section 1.  That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into purchase agreement with Buckeye Power Sales, 6850 Commerce Court Drive, Blacklick, Ohio, for the purchase of a new chipper.

Section 2.  That Fourteen Thousand Dollars ($14,000.00) has been appropriated in the 2001 Appropriations to Account Number 220.330.5512, Streets, Capital Projects/Equipment, for this purchase.

Section 3.  That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and 30 days after signature approval by Mayor.
