TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO PERSONAL SERVICES CONTACT WITH JOSEPH P. WEAVER TO ACT AS PROJECT MANAGER FOR THE BRENTWOOD FOUNDATION DRAIN REHABILITATION PROJECT; AND TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY

WHEREAS, proposal has been received from Joseph P. Weaver, for services as Project Manger of the Foundation Drain Rehabilitation project for the Brentwood Subdivision; and
WHEREAS, the Water Resource Engineer and Director of Public Service have recommended we accept his proposal; and
WHEREAS, with the current building season, it is imperative to proceed with this legislation, all for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety and welfare;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into Personal Services Contract with JOSEPH P. WEAVER, 388 Hermitage Road, Gahanna, Ohio 43230, to act as Project Manager of the Brentwood Foundation Project, in accordance with City Specifications; said contract attached to this ordinance as EXHIBIT A.
Section 2. That the amount of FIFTEEN THOUSAND DOLLARS ($15,000) was set aside in the 2000 Appropriations, to Account No. 661.360.5512, Capital Projects, Sewer, to cover the herein costs.
Section 3. That, for the reasons set forth in the preamble herein above, this ordinance is declared emergency legislation and shall be in full force and effect immediately upon passage by this Council and approval by the Mayor.
