WHEREAS, the City Service Building at 152 Oklahoma Ave. is very old and in poor condition; and
WHEREAS, the Utilities Superintendent's office south wall has shifted away from the building approximately one inch; and
WHEREAS, the Building Inspector evaluated the situation as to be safe to work in, but a solution should be pursued as soon as possible to remedy the problem; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Public Service has recommended that we appropriate funds so that the work can be done as soon possible;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That funding in the amount of EIGHTEEN THOUSAND TWENTY NINE DOLLARS ($18,029) is hereby supplementally appropriated from the unencumbered, unappropriated balance of the General Fund to Account No. 101.141.5596, Lands & Buildings Capital Projects.
Section 2. The funding in the amount of THIRTY THOUSAND DOLLARS ($30,000) is hereby transferred from Account No. 101.141.5249, Lands & Buildings Contract Services to Account No. 101.141.5596, Lands & Buildings Capital Projects.
Section 3. That ORD-0001-2012, passed January 2, 2012, is hereby amended to reflect this supplemental appropriation.
Section 4. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect immediately upon passage by this Council and on date of signature approval by the Mayor.
