TO ACCEPT MONIES SEIZED IN THE AMOUNT OF $273,990 AWARDED TO THE GAHANNA POLICE PURSUANT TO COURT ORDER #11CVH-9308; AND TO SUPPLEMENTALLY APPROPRIATE $68,531 TO THE LAW ENFORCEMENT TRUST FUND.

WHEREAS, Case #11CVH-9308, involved the seizure of $273,990 on July 1, 2011, and was awarded to the City; and
WHEREAS, to comply with the various Court Orders to distribute part of the proceeds to the Prosecuting Attorney, Franklin County, Ohio, and Court costs to the Franklin County Common Pleas Clerk of Courts, a supplemental appropriation is needed;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That we hereby accept funds in the amount of $273,990.
Section 2. That SIXTY EIGHT THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED THIRTY ONE DOLLARS ($68,531) is hereby supplementally appropriated from the unencumbered, unappropriated balance of the Law Enforcement Trust Fund to Account No. 225.211.5411, LETF, Police, Law Enforcement Expense.
Section 3. That ORD-0001-2012, passed January 2, 2012, is hereby amended to reflect this supplemental appropriation.
Section 4. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and 30 days after date of signature approval by the Mayor.
