AN ORDINANCE TO APPOINT KRYSTAL GONCHAR AS CLERK OF COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF GAHANNA; WAIVING SECOND READING; AND TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY.
BODY
WHEREAS, pursuant to section 4.09 - Clerk and Other Employees, of the City Charter, this Council has the power to appoint a Clerk of Council; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to appoint Krystal Gonchar, MPA, as Clerk of Council, effective April 8, 2021, to assume the full duties of the office; and
WHEREAS, for the orderly flow of business in the Council Office and for the interaction with the administration, it is deemed appropriate to make this appointment in a timely fashion, and all for the preservation of the public peace, property, health, safety and welfare.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That effective April 8, 2021, Krystal Gonchar, MPA, is appointed to the position of Clerk of Council for the City of Gahanna.
Section 2. That compensation for this position is hereby established at the pay grade C20 and a salary range of $72,491.08 - $101,487.51 as specified in the Salary Ordinance for the Personnel of the City of Gahanna.
Section 3. That the second reading is hereby waived.
Section 4. That for the reasons set forth in the preamble hereinabove, this ordinance is declared emergency legislation and shall be in full force and effect immediately upon passage by this Council and on date of signature approval by Mayor.
