AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORD-0091-2021 AND ORD-0060-2022 AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SIGN AND ADOPT THE PAY ADMINISTRATION POLICY, EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1, 2024; WAIVING SECOND READING AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY

BODY

WHEREAS, the City previously authorized the Mayor to sign and adopt a Pay Administration Policy through ORD-0091-2021 and subsequently amended through ORD-0060-2022; and

WHEREAS, the Pay Administration Policy is the formal system for classifying positions and compensating non-union employees in the City; and

WHEREAS, as part of the compensation study performed by the City’s consultant, the Pay Administration Policy was reviewed and edited, with Section 4(B)(4) proposed for removal due to the recommendation to move the Chief of Police and Deputy Chief of Police onto the Salary Ordinance (ORD-0088-2023); and
