TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AGREEMENT WITH EVANS, MECHWART, HAMBLETON & TILTON, INC., FOR INSPECTION SERVICES FOR THE TRIANGLE NORTH SANITARY SEWER, PHASE II; AND TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY

WHEREAS, an Agreement has been proposed for construction of Phase II of the Triangle North Sanitary Sewer, Improvement No. 696; and
WHEREAS, inspection services is a prerequisite to completion of this project for appropriate construction of this beneficial project, all for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety, and welfare;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into contract with EVANS, MECHWART, HAMBLETON & TILTON, INC., 170 Mill Street, Gahanna, Ohio 43230, for a cost not to exceed Twenty-two Thousand Dollars ($8,200)for inspection services on the Triangle North Sanitary Sewer, Phase II, Improvement 696, in accordance with Scope of Services Agreement, attached hereto as EXHIBIT A, and in accordance with City specifications.
Section 2. That funding for this Improvement No. 696 was set aside in the 1998 Appropriations to Account No. 661.360.5533, Capital Projects, Sewer.
Section 3. That, for the reasons set forth in the preamble hereinabove, this ordinance is declared emergency legislation and shall be in full force and effect immediately upon passage by this Council and approval by the Mayor.
