TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH XCELIGENT FOR WEB BASED DEVELOPMENT SOFTWARE.

WHEREAS, this software is needed in order to improve business intelligence for the City and provide accurate market availability data; and
WHEREAS, this is an 18 month agreement that includes a 10% discount for the extended term and runs through December 31, 2007; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Development has requested the purchase of this software service as it directly improves business intelligence for the City and becomes an advanced tool for business retention and recruitment;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a contract with Xceligent, 4231 S. Hocker Dr, Suite 100, Independence, MO 64055, said agreement attached hereto as EXHIBIT A.
Section 2. That funding in the amount of FOUR THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED SIXTY FOUR DOLLARS ($4,464) is already appropriated to Account No. 101.343.5253, Development, Planning.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and 30 days after signature of approval by the Mayor.
