Title

TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AGREEMENT WITH TRICAR LTD. TO CONDUCT A GEOTECHNICAL STUDY FOR GROUNDWATER AT HUNTERS RIDGE POOL; AND TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY

Body

WHEREAS, two residents of the Dunoon Drive area have reported additional sump pump activity and it is desirable to investigate further the source of this drainage; and

 

WHEREAS, proposal has been made by TriCar Ltd., under date of April 27, 1998, and has been recommended by the City Engineer; and

 

WHEREAS, it is prudent to proceed with this investigation at the earliest possible date for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety, and welfare;

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:

 

Section 1.  That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into agreement with TRICAR LTD, 6237 Wynford Drive, Dublin Ohio 53016, for Geotechnical Study for Groundwater at Hunters Ridge Pool, in accordance with letter proposal dated April 27, 1998 (EXHIBIT A, attached to this ordinance and made a part herein), and in accordance with City specifications.

 

Section 2.  That the amount of Three Thousand Eight Hundred Dollars ($3,800)is hereby supplementally appropriated from the unencumbered, unappropriated balance in the General Fund to Account No.101.145.5445, Engineer Assistance, to cover the herein costs.

 

Section 3.  That Ordinance No. 980001, passed January 2, 1998, is hereby amended to reflect this supplemental appropriation.

 

Section 4.  That, for the reasons set forth in the preamble hereinabove, this ordinance is declared emergency legislation and shall be in full force and effect immediately upon passage by this Council and approval by the Mayor.
