TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT WITH THE ROBERT WEILER COMPANY FOR APPRAISAL OF APPROXIMATELY 40 ACRES OF VACANT LAND LOCATED ALONG TAYLOR ROAD, KNOWN AS THE SINGH PROPERTY; TO SUPPLEMENTALLY APPROPRIATE $6,000; AND TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY

WHEREAS, proposal has been received for appraisal work on the approximately 40 acres along Taylor Road, known as the Singh Property, and the City Engineer has recommended we proceed; and

 

WHEREAS, it is imperative that we proceed with this legislation to begin the appraisal on this property for the East Industrial Sewer, all for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety and welfare;

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:

 

Section 1.  That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into Agreement with THE ROBERT WEILER COMPANY, 41 South High Street, Suite 2200, Columbus, Ohio 43215, for appraisal of the approximately 40 acres along Taylor Road, known as the Singh Property, in accordance with City specifications, said proposal attached as EXHIBIT A.

 

Section 2.  That the amount of SIX THOUSAND DOLLARS ($6,000) is hereby supplementally appropriated from the unencumbered, unappropriated Balance of the General Fund to Account No. 101.349.5821, TIF  Expenses, to cover the herein costs.

 

Section 3.  That Ordinance No. 200001, passed January 3, 2000 is hereby amended to reflect this supplemental appropriation.

 

Section 4.  That, for the reasons set forth in the preamble herein above, this ordinance is declared emergency legislation and shall be in full force and effect immediately upon passage by this Council and signature approval by the Mayor.
