TO ACCEPT INFRASTRUCTURE IMPROVEMENTS AND APPURTENANCES THERETO, FOR MEADOWBROOKE GREEN; IMPROVEMENT NUMBER ST 912 AND SA 913; AND TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY.

WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 1105.07 of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Gahanna, the City Engineer has certified in writing that the improvements of sanitary sewer, storm sewer and waterline, improvement no. ST 912 & SA 913; and appurtenances thereto, for Meadowbrooke Green, are completed and approved or that a bond or other surety has been furnished assuring construction and initial maintenance of all required improvements; and
WHEREAS, Meadowbrooke Green is a single family residential subdivision which was platted in 2014 and constructed in 2015; and
WHEREAS, the developer has requested that the appurtenances be accepted; and
WHEREAS, the subdivision meets the basic requirements for acceptance in that the underground utilities and roadway are complete and have passed all necessary inspections and testing; and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has determined the value of these appurtenances to be $289,600; and
WHEREAS, the immediate acceptance of these improvements is requested so house construction can begin as soon as possible, and for the preservation of the public peace, property, health, safety and welfare.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the improvements of the street, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, and waterline Improvement No. ST 912 and sanitary improvement SA 913, and appurtenances thereto, for Meadowbrooke Green; are hereby accepted; Certificate of Completion attached as EXHIBIT A, and made a part herein.
Section 2. That, for the reasons set forth in the preamble herein above, this Ordinance is declared emergency legislation and shall be in full force and effect immediately after passage by this Council and on date of signature approval by the Mayor.
