AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT WITH GPD GROUP FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES FOR THE 2022 STREET REBUILD AND WATERLINE REPLACEMENT DESIGN PROJECT.
BODY
WHEREAS, the project will design roadway improvements to various roads within the city; and
WHEREAS, engineering services are needed for the design of these streets due to the complexity of the rebuilds and number of utilities that need replaced or improved; and
WHEREAS, construction of the streets is expected to occur in 2023 and will improve sidewalks, utilities, and drainage.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into contract with Glaus, Pyle, Schomer, Burns and DeHaven, Inc, dba GPD Group, 520 South Main St, Suite 2531, Akron, OH 44311 for street rebuild and waterline replacement design.
Section 2. That funding in the amount of THREE HUNDRED TWO THOUSAND FORTY-FIVE DOLLARS ($302,045) is already been appropriated to cover the herein costs; said Agreement attached hereto as EXHIBIT A, and made a part herein.
Section 3. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and 30 days after date of signature approval by the Mayor.
