TO HONOR AND COMMEND THE GAHANNA ROARING LIONS RACING TEAM.

WHEREAS, the Gahanna Roaring Lions Racing Team finished first at the Columbus Malibu Grand Prix Senior Metro Challenge in a field of 17 teams; and
WHEREAS, the Gahanna racers who qualified for the challenge are John "Fireball" Sherman, Adrienne "Zippy" Eames, Wilmer "The Streaker" Goldsberry, Lou "Zap" Brumm, Ed "Ready Eddie" Burton, and alternate Henry "Golden Hawk" Maxwell.
Whereas, this is the third time the Roaring Lions have won the event, repeating victories earned in 1993 and 1997.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
SECTION 1. That this Council and Administration, on behalf of the citizens of Gahanna, commend the efforts of John Sherman, Adrienne Eames, Wilmer Goldsberry, Lou Brumm, Ed Burton, and Henry Maxwell in taking first place in the 2000 Malibu Grand Prix Senior Metro Challenge.
SECTION 2. That this resolution shall go into full force and effect immediately upon passage by this Council.
