TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE EASEMENT FOR AMERITECH NON EXCLUSIVE EASEMENT FOR TELEPHONE EQUIPMENT ON CITY PROPERTY ON NORTH HAMILTON ROAD NEAR VISTA DRIVE; TO REPEAL ORDINANCE ORD-0242-2000; TO WAIVE SECOND READING; AND TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY

WHEREAS, Ameritech has requested easement through City property on North Hamilton Road near Vista Drive; and
WHEREAS, the Deputy Director of Public Service has asked that we move forward to execute this easement; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City to move forward as quickly as possible for this work to be completed, all for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety and welfare;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute Ameritech Non Exclusive Easement, to allow for telephone equipment on City property on North Hamilton Road near Vista Drive.
Section 2. That ORD-0242-2001 is hereby repealed.
Section 3. That for the reasons set forth in the preamble herein above, this ordinance is declared emergency legislation and shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and on date of signature approval by the Mayor.
