TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT WITH STILSON CONSULTING GROUP FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR THE OLDE GAHANNA SANITARY SEWER STUDY, IMP. # 800; TO SUPPLEMENTALLY APPROPRIATE $19,100; AND TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY.

WHEREAS, letter proposal for engineering services, dated August 29, 2001, has been received from STILSON CONSULTING GROUP, and has been recommended by the City Engineer for the Olde Gahanna Sanitary Sewer Study; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to move forward with this project in a timely fashion due to development and redevelopment taking place in Olde Gahanna, all for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety and welfare;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into Contract with STILSON CONSULTING GROUP, 7610 Olentangy River Road, Columbus, Ohio 43235, for engineering services on Olde Gahanna Sanitary Sewer, Imp. #800, said services to be in accordance with proposal letter, dated August 29, 2001, attached hereto as EXHIBIT A, and all in accordance with City specifications.
Section 2. That funding in the amount of NINETEEN THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($19,100) is hereby supplementally appropriated from the unencumbered, unappropriated amount in the Sewer Fund to Account No. 661.360.5445, Capital Projects, Engineering.
Section 3. That Ordinance No. ORD 0001-2001, passed January 2, 2001, is hereby amended to reflect this supplemental appropriation.
Section 4. That for reasons set forth in the preamble herein above, this ordinance is declared emergency legislation and shall be in full force and effect immediately after passage by this Council and on the date of signature approval by the Mayor.
