TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT WITH W. E. STILSON CONSULTING GROUP FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES RELATED TO THE WATER DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM MODEL UPDATE.

WHEREAS, in 2008 W. E. Stilson Consulting Group updated the hydraulic model of the City's water distribution system; and
WHEREAS, there have been numerous changes and additions to the system that necessitate that the hydraulic model be updated to bring it to 2012 conditions; and
WHEREAS, discussions have also been initiated with Jefferson Water & Sewer District to consider how we could assist one another in the case of an emergency situation that affected one of our water supplies; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Public Service has recommended W. E. Stilson Consulting Group as the most qualified consultant to perform the 2012 update;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into contract with W. E. STILSON CONSULTING GROUP, 355 E. Campus View Blvd., Suite 250, Columbus, OH 43235 for engineering services associated with the 2012 water model update and related services; said contract attached hereto as EXHIBIT A.
Section 2. That funding in the amount of FOURTEEN THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS ($14,200) was set aside in the 2012 appropriations to Account No. 651.350.5445, Water Engineering Expense, to cover the herein cost.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect immediately after passage by this Council and 30 days after date of signature approval by the Mayor.
