TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH ASSETWORKS FOR A PHYSICAL INVENTORY AND VALUATION OF THE CITY'S CAPITAL ASSETS.

WHEREAS, Government Finance Officers Association best practices recommend a physical inventory of capital items at least every 5 years; and
WHEREAS, the City of Gahanna last had a capital asset inventory performed in 2002; and
WHEREAS, the Finance Department collected quotes from qualified firms and the Director of Finance recommends AssetWorks as the best value and most responsive firm;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into professional services agreement with AssetWorks, 168 Industry Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15275, for a physical inventory and valuation of the City's capital assets; agreement attached as EXHIBIT A, and made a part herein.
Section 2. That funding in the amount of THIRTY NINE THOUSAND NINE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($39,900) was set aside in the 2014 Appropriations in Account No. 101.130.5249 Finance Department, Contract Services, to cover the herein costs.
Section 3. That this Ordinance is shall be in full force and effect 30 days after passage by this Council and date of signature approval by the Mayor.
