RESOLUTION OF SUPPORT FOR A BRIDGE OVER I-270 AT TECHCENTER DRIVE

WHEREAS, an alternate route is needed to alleviate traffic congestion at Hamilton and Morrison Roads; and
WHEREAS, a study was done by the Engineering Department to find the best location for the extension, and TechCenter Drive was found to be that location; and
WHEREAS, this extension would provide truck traffic direct access to the Industrial Zone and eliminate that traffic coming through the Hamilton/Morrison intersection;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That this Council states their commitment to pursue the construction of a bridge over I-270 at TechCenter Drive.
Section 2. That this Council urges future City officials to retain and pursue this commitment.
Section 3. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately upon passage by this Council.
