TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT FOR THE 1999 FISCAL YEAR WITH THE FRANKLIN COUNTY BOARD OF HEALTH FOR HEALTH SERVICES IN THE CITY OF GAHANNA FOR THE 1999 FISCAL YEAR; AND TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY.

WHEREAS, the City has a continuing program with the Franklin County Board of Health for health services in the City of Gahanna; and
WHEREAS, a contract should be entered into beginning January 1, 1999, and it is prudent, therefore, for the continuing effectiveness of these health services, to effect this contract by said beginning date, all for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety, and welfare;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into Contract with Franklin County Board of Health for health services in the City of Gahanna for the 1999 Fiscal Year.
Section 2. That the amount of not to exceed One Hundred Twenty Thousand Six Hundred Sixty-two Dollars will be set aside to cover the herein costs in the 1999 Appropriations.
Section 3. That, for the reasons set forth in the preamble herein above, this ordinance is declared emergency legislation, and shall be in full force and effect immediately upon passage by this Council and approval by the Mayor.
