AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORD-0016-2021 AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE SALARIES FOR PERSONNEL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA FOR THE PERIOD JANUARY 1, 2021 THROUGH DECEMBER 31, 2021; WAIVE SECOND READING; ADOPT AS EMERGENCY.
BODY
WHEREAS, the Administration is recommending changes to the salary Ordinance, originally passed by ORD-113-2020 and later amended by ORD-0016-2021; and
WHEREAS, a summary of those changes is outlined in the attached report and reflected in the attached Salary Ordinances for the Personnel of the City of Gahanna; and
WHEREAS, it is imperative to proceed with this Ordinance for the preservation of the public peace, property, health, safety, and welfare.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the 2021 Salary Ordinance for Personnel of the City of Gahanna, is hereby enacted as described in EXHIBIT A, attached hereto and made a part herein.
Section 2. That the second reading is hereby waived.
Section 3. That any Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
Section 4. That, for the reasons set forth in the preamble herein above, this ordinance is declared emergency legislation and shall be in full force and effect immediately upon passage by this Council and on date of signature approval by the Mayor.
