TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT WITH GGC ENGINEERS FOR DESIGN SERVICES ON THE OGDEN ALLEY; TO TRANSFER FUNDS TO PAY SAID SERVICES; AND TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY.

WHEREAS, the portion of Ogden Alley between High Street and Shull Avenue requires extensive redesign, drainage work and and right-of-way acquisition; and
WHEREAS, GGC Engineers presented a proposal for the above mentioned work; and
WHEREAS, it is neccessary to authorize this contract immediately, all for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety and welfare;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into Contract with GGC Engineers for design services on Ogden Alley.
Section 2. That ELEVEN THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS ($11,200) is hereby transferred from account number 101.145.5541, Capital Projects, Streets, Alleys to account number 101.145.5533, Capital Projects, Engineering, Alleys.
Section 3. That ORD-0001-2001, passed January 2, 2001, is hereby amended to reflect this transfer of funds.
Section 4. That for reasons set forth in the preamble hereinabove, this ordinance is declared emergency legislation, and shall be in full force and effect immediately upon passage by this Council and on date of signature approval by the Mayor.
