TO AMEND ORD-0258-2001, THE ORDINANCE FOR SALARIES AND BENEFITS FOR UNCLASSIFIED PERSONNEL, TO ALLOW PAYMENT OF SALARY TO THE DIRECTOR OF HUMAN RESOURCES; AND TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY.

WHEREAS, ORD-0287-2000, passed December 18, 2000 established salary and benefits for unclassified personnel; and
WHEREAS, ORD-0258-2001, passed December 17, 2001, establishes salary for 2002; and
WHEREAS, said ordinances for unclassified personnel provide for compensation and benefits for certain City employees; and
WHEREAS, it is critical for the orderly flow of business to allow this position to be filled in a timely fashion, all for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety, and welfare;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That Article II, Pay Ranges, of ORD-0258-2001, passed December 17, 2001, is hereby amended as shown in EXHIBIT A, attached hereto and made a part herein.
Section 2. That payment at the stated rate of pay approved by this legislation shall be effective the effective date of this ordinance.
Section 3. That, for the reasons set forth in the preamble herein above, this ordinance is declared emergency legislation and shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and upon date of signature approval by the Mayor.
