REESTABLISHING COMPENSATION FOR MEMBERS OF THE LANDSCAPE BOARD; REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 5-97

WHEREAS, during a review of the salaries for boards and commissions, it was determined that the Landscape Board does not meet on a monthly basis; and
WHEREAS, it is deemed appropriate to change the current compensation of Fifty Dollars ($50) per month for Landscape Board members to a per meeting basis;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That upon the effective date of this legislation the five members appointed to the Gahanna Landscape Board by the Mayor and City Council, shall each receive compensation in the amount of Fifty Dollars ($50) per meeting, payable the second pay period of each month.
Section 2. That Ordinance 5-97, or any parts or sections of ordinances in conflict herewith, shall be repealed as of the effective date of this ordinance.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and 30 days after date of signature approval by the Mayor.
