WHEREAS, the Gahanna Woods Detention Basin project is to help reduce peak water flows in the Souder Ditch to help with erosion problems encountered along the creek in the Farm Creek subdivision; and
WHEREAS, bids were opened on June 1, 2012 for the Gahanna Woods Detention Basin project; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Public Service has recommended we proceed with the lowest most responsive and responsible bidder;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Director of Public Service is authorized to award and the Mayor is authorized to enter into contract with THOMPSON EXCAVATION, 6182 Winchester Road, Carroll, Ohio 43112, for the Gahanna Woods Detention Basin project; Improvement No. ST 979; bid tabs attached as EXHIBIT A, and made a part herein.
Section 2. That funding in the amount of TWO HUNDRED THIRTY EIGHT THOUSAND DOLLARS ($238,000) is available in Account No. 631.350.5596, Stormwater Capital Projects/Improvements, to cover the herein costs.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and 30 days after date of signature approval by the Mayor.
