TITLE
AN ORDINANCE TO MAKE APPROPRIATIONS FOR CURRENT EXPENSES AND OTHER EXPENDITURES OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, OHIO DURING THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING DECEMBER 31, 2024
BODY

WHEREAS, on November 13, 2023, the Administration presented the Proposed Budget for 2024 to City Council during Finance Committee; and

WHEREAS, on December 4, 2023, and December 18, 2023, the City Council held two public hearing opportunities for comment on the Proposed Budget for 2024; and

WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that appropriations are required to provide for current expenses and other expenditures associated with the operations of the City for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2024.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO:

Section 1. That to provide for the current operating expenses and other expenditures of the City of Gahanna during the fiscal year ending December 31, 2024, the sums listed in EXHIBIT A are hereby set aside and appropriated as shown.

Section 2. That any sums which shall be expended from the attached appropriations and which are a proper charge against any other department or against any firm, or person, or corporation, which, if repaid within the period covered by such appropriations shall be credited to the fund from which such payment was made and shall be considered reappropriated for such original purposes provided that the net total of expenditures under any item of such appropriations shall not exceed the amount of such item.

Section 3. That the Director of Finance is authorized to transfer appropriations within each department in an amount up to $3,000 without the separate approval of Council.

Section 4. That the Director of Finance of the City of Gahanna is hereby authorized to draw checks for payments of any of the foregoing appropriations upon the receiving of the proper approval of the officers or heads of departments authorized by law to make expenditures; provided that...
