TO ACCEPT DONATION OF $267 FROM GAHANNA MOOSE LODGE #2463 FOR THE POLICE DEPARTMENT; AND TO SUPPLEMENTALLY APPROPRIATE SAID DONATION TO THE EMPLOYEE RELATIONS ACCOUNT; AND TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY.

WHEREAS, a donation as been received from Gahanna Moose Lodge #2463 and specified for use by the Gahanna Police Department; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of Council and the Gahanna Police Department to supplementally appropriate these funds to an account that the Police Department can readily access; and
WHEREAS, it is imperative to move forward with this ordinance so that funds can be accessed this year, all for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety and welfare;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That this Council and Administration, on behalf of the citizens of Gahanna, do hereby accept the very generous donation of Gahanna Moose Lodge #2463 and do specify the funds for the Police Department.
Section 2. That funding in the amount of TWO HUNDRED SIXTY SEVEN DOLLARS ($267) is hereby supplementally appropriated from the unencumbered, unappropriated balance in the General Fund to Account No. 101.211.5280, Police, Employee Relations.
Section 3. That ORD-0001-2006, passed January 2, 2006, is hereby amended to reflect this supplemental appropriation.
Section 4. That, for the reasons set forth in the preamble herein above, this ordinance is declared emergency legislation and shall be in full force and effect immediately upon passage by this Council and on date of signature approval by the Mayor.
