TO AMEND SECTION 1303.02(t), AMENDMENTS TO CODE, OF CHAPTER 1303, RESIDENTIAL BUILDING CODE, OF THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, TO SET REQUIREMENTS IN COMPLIANCE WITH THE 1999 NATIONAL ELECTRIC CODE.

WHEREAS, the State of Ohio requires that Certified Building Departments use the 1999 National Electrical Code as of January 1, 1999;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO;
Section 1. That Section 1303.02(t), Amendments to Code, of Chapter 1303, Residential Building Code, of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Gahanna, Ohio, is hereby amended as follows, retroactive to January 1, 1999:
1303.02(t) AMENDMENTS TO CODE.
Part VI, entitled, "Electrical" shall be amended and, as amended, shall read as follows:
Part VI - Electrical
The electrical provision shall conform to requirements of City ordinances, the Ohio Basic Building Code and the 1999 National Electric Code.
Section 2. That existing Section 1303.02(t), or any ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith, is hereby repealed.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect at the earliest period allowed by law.
