TITLE
TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A PARTICIPATING ADDENDUM UNDER THE WESTERN STATES CONTRACTING ALLIANCE WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SERVICES AND EQUIPMENT  WITH AT&T MOBILITY NATIONAL ACCOUNTS, LLC; AND TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY
BODY
WHEREAS, the Service Department has cell phone service through AT&T and has been receiving over a 30% discount off the standard service agreement by participating in the Western States National Alliance cooperative agreement; and
 
WHEREAS, the Director of Public Service has recommended we proceed to enter into Participating Addendum Under the Western States Contracting Alliance Wireless Communication Services and Equipment; and
 
WHEREAS, since this agreement will reduce the monthly rate paid for the phones the City desires to have it in place as soon as possible, and all for the preservation of the public peace, property, health, safety and welfare;
 
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, FRANKLIN OF COUNTY, STATE OF OHIO:
 
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a Participating Addendum Under the Western States Contracting Alliance Wireless Communication Services and Equipment with AT&T MOBILITY NATIONAL ACCOUNTS LLC, for Service Department cell phones; Participating Addendum attached as EXHIBIT A, and made a part herein.
 
Section 2. That, for the reasons set forth in the preambles hereto and incorporated herein by this reference, this Ordinance is declared emergency legislation and will be in full force and effect upon passage by this Council and the signature of approval by the Mayor.
