WHEREAS, with the construction at Creekside Park in its final stages it is time to redevelop the paddleboat marina; and
WHEREAS, funds are needed for the cost of the marina development including walkways, bank enforcement and landscaping, as well as new paddleboats and a portable cart facility from which we will operate the marina; and
WHEREAS, the paddleboat marina is proposed at the north end of the mill race where the old dock was located;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That funding in the amount of SIXTY FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($65,000) is hereby supplementally appropriated from the unencumbered, unappropriated balance of the Parks in Lieu Fund to Account No. 328.431.5596, Parks, Capital Projects/Improvements.
Section 2. That ORD-0001-2008, passed January 2, 2008, is hereby amended to reflect this supplemental appropriation.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and on date of signature approval by the Mayor.
