Title
TO AUTHORIZE AN AGREEMENT FOR TAX ABATEMENT FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 1801-1831 DEFFENBAUGH COURT AND IS A PART OF COMMUNITY REINVESTMENT AREA #1; SAID DISTRICT LAST AMENDED BY SR-0002-2005.
 
Body
WHEREAS, property located at 1801-1831 Deffenbaugh Court is a part of Community Reinvestment Area #1; and
 
WHEREAS, Eastgate Partners LLC is desirous of constructing an 80,000 square ft. building for office/warehouse operations within the boundaries of the aforementioned Community Reinvestment Area #1, provided that the appropriate development incentives are available to support the economic viability of said project; and
 
WHEREAS, Gahanna having the appropriate authority for the stated type of project is desirous of providing Eastgate Partners LLC with incentives available for the development of the project in said Community Reinvestment Area #1 under Chapter 3735 of the Ohio Revised Code;
 
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO:
 
Section 1.  That the tax abatement agreement with Eastgate Partners LLC, whose main offices are located at 942-A Freeway Drive N., Columbus, OH 43229, is hereby authorized as set forth in EXHIBIT A attached hereto and made a part herein.
 
Section 2.  That pursuant to MR-0052-2000 the Director of Development is authorized as Housing Officer to sign this agreement.
 
Section 3.  That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect upon passage by Council and 30 days after the signature of approval by the Mayor.
