REESTABLISHING COMPENSATION FOR MEMBERS OF THE PARKS & RECREATION BOARD; REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 6-97

WHEREAS, during a review of the salaries for boards and commissions, it was determined that the Parks & Recreation Board does not meet on a monthly basis; and
WHEREAS, it is deemed appropriate to change the current compensation of One Hundred Dollars ($100) per month for Parks & Recreation Board members to a per meeting basis;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That upon the effective date of this legislation the seven members appointed to the Gahanna Parks & Recreation Board by the Mayor, City Council and School Board, shall each receive compensation in the amount of One Hundred Dollars ($100) per meeting, payable the second pay period of each month.
Section 2. That Ordinance 6-97, or any parts or sections of ordinances in conflict herewith, shall be repealed as of the effective date of this ordinance.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and 30 days after date of signature approval by the Mayor.
