WHEREAS, this project is to extend the City's fiber network in the Industrial Zone which is vital to retaining businesses in the area, and this is the second phase of the project; and
WHEREAS, bids were opened on February 15, 2013 and the Director of Public Service has recommended we proceed with the lowest most responsive and responsible bidder, Stillion Brothers Excavating;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Director of Public Service is hereby authorized to award and the Mayor is authorized to enter into Contract with STILLION BROTHERS EXCAVATING, INC., 4022 Cole Road, Perrysville, Ohio 44864, for Phase II of TIZ fiber extension; Improvement No. ST 973; bid tabs attached as EXHIBIT A, and made a part herein.
Section 2. That funding in the amount of SEVENTY NINE THOUSAND THREE HUNDRED SIXTY THREE DOLLARS ($79,363) was set aside in the 2013 Appropriations to Account No. 325.122.5596, Capital Improvements, Capital Projects/Improvements, to cover the herein cost.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and 30 days after date of signature approval by the Mayor.
