WHEREAS, KAREN MCPHERSON has worked as the City of Gahanna Police Crime Analyst for the past 12 years; and
WHEREAS, KAREN MCPHERSON is retiring after 30 years of work in the public sector; and
WHEREAS, KAREN MCPHERSON has been instrumental in documenting crime trends and formulating predictive analysis; and
WHEREAS, KAREN MCPHERSON is an accomplished forensic artist working with victims of crime to produce detailed suspect composite sketches; and
WHEREAS, KAREN MCPHERSON has worked with many law enforcement agencies in Ohio including Columbus, Dublin, Worthington, Whitehall, Reynoldsburg and The Ohio State University Police; and
WHEREAS, KAREN MCPHERSON has worked with the Robbery and Special Victims Unit detectives with the Columbus Police Department in assembling sketches to identify violent offenders; and
WHEREAS, KAREN MCPHERSON has been an invaluable member of the Gahanna Police Department working behind the scenes to solve crimes and aid victims of crime through science, art and technology;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That this Council hereby honors and commends KAREN MCPHERSON for dedicated service to the City of Gahanna Police Department and 30 years total service in the public sector.
Section 2. That this resolution shall be in full force and effect at the earliest period allowed by law.
