TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT WITH THE FRANKLIN COUNTY PUBLIC HEALTH FOR HEALTH SERVICES FOR FISCAL YEAR 2013.

WHEREAS, the City has a continuing program with Franklin County Public Health for health services in the City of Gahanna; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Public Service has recommended we proceed to enter into contract with Franklin County Public Health for these health services for 2013; and
WHEREAS, some of the services provided by Franklin County include inspections of sanitary systems, food establishments, hotels, public swimming pools, spas, radon testing and assistance with the enforcement of the smoke free law; and
WHEREAS, the charge for health services is determined by multiplying our population figures by the per capita rate of $5.93;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into contract with Franklin County Public Health for health services in the City of Gahanna for the 2013 fiscal year; Contract attached as EXHIBIT A, and made a part herein.
Section 2. That an amount not to exceed ONE HUNDRED NINETY SEVEN THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED FORTY FOUR DOLLARS ($197,244) will be set aside in the 2013 Appropriations to Account No. 101.217.5249, Public Health, Contract Services, to cover the health related services costs.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and 30 days after date of signature approval by the Mayor.
